StoffelVandoorne

After a strong end to his rookie campaign, Stoffel had sights solely on the GP2 Series title in 2015. He was imperious throughout the season – winning seven of the 11 feature races and taking the title by an eventual 160 points.

Following an injury sustained by Fernando Alonso in the previous race, Stoffel was called up late to race in Bahrain. He qualified well on debut, out-qualifying World Champion team-mate Jenson Button, and raced his way into the points.

Stoffel got his full-time F1 break in 2017 alongside Fernando. Despite a very challenging season due to the car's performance and reliability, he put in some very strong and impressive drives, notably in Malaysia.

At the end of 2018, Stoffel joined Formula E with Mercedes and played a key role in its Formula E successes. He picked up his and the marque's first victory in Berlin in 2020 in the season finale, setting up further successful seasons in the following two years.

Stoffel came out on top of a very competitive Formula E season in 2022, clinching the title during a dramatic weekend in Seoul. A pile-up in the first race prompted a red flag, taking the title to the final race. Stoffel finished the finale in second, and his season-long consistency took him to a maiden Formula E title.

During 2022, Stoffel was announced as a reserve driver, sharing his role with Felipe Drugovich. At his home circuit at Spa-Francorchamps, Stoffel got his Aston Martin debut, driving the AMR23 in a tyre test.

Completing the official Pirelli two-day tyre test as Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team Test and Reserve Driver, Stoffel drove the AMR24 for the first time at his home circuit, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.

Stoffel's testing responsibilities with the team continued in 2025, with his most recent outing in Formula One machinery coming at the post-season Abu Dhabi test, where he logged valuable mileage in the AMR25.
