Team Principal Mike Krack on life at AMF1 and working with a young Sebastian Vettel.
In the final episode of this season's At The Bar With, AMF1 Team Principal Mike Krack joined us for a Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% and a chat about his time with the team so far.
During the candid discussion, Peroni Global Brand Ambassador Simone Caporale asked Mike about working with Sebastian Vettel in his junior karting days.
"He was the test driver at BMW Sauber at the time, and he was hanging around a lot. He was always good for a joke, having fun, enjoying his time there, and still also learning in parallel," says Mike.
"It was always very comfortable and nice to have him around, because he was always the charming element of the team. Being super serious, with our Swiss-German seriousness, he was the refreshing element."

Speaking of how he got into Formula One, Mike says, "My father was a racer, and so as a little boy, I joined him on the racetrack, on the hillclimbs, on the slalom racing, circuit racing.
"And then we had motocross bikes, we had karts, and racing was around from the beginning.
"I tried to drive myself, but we realised I didn't have the talent to be a professional driver. Then I decided to take a role in engineering."
Mike also revealed how he spends his weekends off at the go-kart track with his son and his other passion – football.
