  • Additive Manufacturing Operative

    We have an exciting new opportunity to be part of the Model Manufacturing team as Additive Manufacturing Operative, based in our fantastic new campus, AMRTC.

    The successful candidate will have extensive experience of additive manufacturing. They will have a good attention to detail, work calmly and accurately under pressure, work positively and enthusiastically in a small team and have a flexible attitude to helping fulfil the requirements of the department and team as a whole.

    Working day shift in the additive manufacturing team, this role will primarily be focused on ensuring the operation of the additive manufacturing machines is efficient, and organised.

    The Successful candidate must have the following attributes:

    - Competent operation of all machines in AMF1.

    - Post Process builds for all technologies.

    - Carry out machine maintenance and workshop equipment.

    - Use hand tools to finish DMLS printed parts to drawing specifications.

    - Work in line with 5S lean manufacturing.

    - Stay up to date with safe working practices for all technologies.

    - Attend meetings where necessary.

    - As part of a small team, you will be expected to be involved in all aspects of the department from monitoring consumables to improving processes.

    - Carry out any tasks as deemed necessary and delegated by the team.

    - To work proactively, responsibly, and professionally at all times and to respect and comply with the company’s reporting structure.

  • CNC machinist- Late Shift

    We have a new opportunity to be part of the Pattern Shop team in the role of CNC Machinist – Late Shift working Tues-Fri – 17:00-3:30.

    The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, hardworking, knowledgeable

    of Composite Machining practices and standards, flexible, proactive and have a ‘can do’ attitude.

    The Successful candidate should have the following attributes:

    - Previous extensive experience of setting and operating 5 axis CNC machines with a Siemens and/or Heidenhain control.

    - Experience of Pattern Shop processes and machining epoxy tooling block patterns, jigs, and moulds.

    - Experience of machining complex moulded carbon fibre components and inserts to tight tolerances – ideally class A Formula One Components inc. Chassis, Gearbox, Nose, Suspension etc.

    - An ability to work with minimal supervision and make informed decisions when support may not be available.

    - A desire to work with others to improve and create processes and drive improvement within the department.

    - Knowledge of Openmind Hypermill software would be an advantage.

    - Experience using Renishaw probes to set parts/MSP software would be an advantage.

    - High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

    - A methodical and thorough approach to your work.

    - Able to work with minimal supervision.

    - Good communication skills, both written and verbal, combined with the ability to work well with colleagues.

    - Be self-motivated, enthusiastic and a dependable team player.

    - Possess good IT skills.

  • Cost Analyst - Engineering

    We have a new opportunity to be part of our Finance team in the role of Cost Analyst - Engineering with the purpose of analysing, forecasting, and managing the costs associated with engineering projects and activities, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising on quality and performance.

    Responsibilities:

    - Partnering with Engineering department for all costing activities.

    - Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed cost analysis of engineering projects, identifying cost drivers and owning opportunities for reduction

    - Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for engineering projects, ensuring alignment with overall financial objectives

    - Cost Forecasting: Create and maintain cost forecasts (including regular forecast requirements), providing accurate and timely information to support strategic decision making within the engineering function

    The Digital Workplace Engineer role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting technology solutions that enable modern and collaborative work environments using a range of technologies, in particular, Microsoft products and services. This role is centred around leveraging a suite of productivity tools, cloud services, and security offerings to enhance workplace productivity, communication, and collaboration.

    You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide technical ownership of Aston Martin F1’s Microsoft ecosystem. This will include troubleshooting issues, optimising performance, and supporting the organisation's business objectives. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Microsoft technologies, as well as strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

    Training and Qualifications are on offer to accompany the role with new technologies and expansion of knowledge to enable the role-holder and our team to make the car go faster.

    Responsibilities:

    - Designing, documenting, implementing and managing workplace technology solutions to enhance the productivity and efficiency of the workplace

    - User and support and training to assist with educating peers in other teams

    - Maintaining the security of the state by applying patches and updates, and ensuring the overall stability and availability of the systems

    - Staying updated with technology trends

    - Collaboration with cross-functional teams within IT and across the business as a whole

    Skills & Attributes:

    - In-depth knowledge of various versions of Windows operating systems, including Windows 10,11 and Windows Server, is essential. This includes system administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and deployment techniques

    - Proficiency in managing and administering Active Directory, including user and group management, domain controllers, Group Policy, and DNS integration

    - Experience with Microsoft 365 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Entra. Understanding administration, configuration, and integration with other Microsoft services is important

    - Familiarity with Microsoft Endpoint Manager for managing and securing devices, including configuring policies, managing applications, and enforcing compliance

    - Proficiency in PowerShell scripting is crucial for automation, system administration tasks, and managing Microsoft technologies effectively. Knowledge of PowerShell modules specific to Microsoft products, such as Exchange Online and Azure, is beneficial

  • Finance Assistant

    We have a new opportunity to be part of our Finance team in the role of Finance Assistant.

    Responsibilities:

    Accounts Payable

    - Process invoices from suppliers promptly.

    - Ensure that all invoices are matched to purchase order receipts or other records of authorisation prior to payment.

    - Reconciliation of supplier statements to ensure all invoices have been input on the purchase ledger.

    - Deal with supplier queries and accountable for resolution of any issues that arise in the course of business, both via email and over the phone.

    - Help ensure undisputed creditor invoices are paid within agreed payment credit terms.

    - Preparation of periodic and ad-hoc payables reporting and analysis.

    - Maintain and manage the Team’s payables ledger in the accounting system, including payment allocations set-up of new supplier accounts.

    - Assisting in the preparation of payment runs, proforma and ad-hoc payments to be made from Team bank accounts

    - Participate in P2P workshops and PO training to educate the wider business with respect to best practice.

    Accounting Processes and Control

    - Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

    - Other adhoc work to support the finance team as required.

    Skills & Knowledge Required

    Experience

    - Purchase ledger experience, especially in a high volume, fast paced business

    - Experience of working within Formula 1 in a similar role would be advantageous

    Stress Engineer.

    You will be responsible for structural analysis of components and assemblies (metallic and composite), using finite element methods and hand calculations, to find the most mass-efficient solutions. This role will be involved in a wide variety of analysis projects to support our whole design team in delivering optimum solutions to the track.

    The successful applicant will possess an Engineering Degree (min 2:1 grade) and ideally have experience working within a structural analysis team, in an Automotive or similar field. A good understanding of analysis of composites and metallic materials using a mixture of FEA and hand calculations is expected, along with a strong working knowledge of Altair HyperWorks and Catia V5/V6 (or similar industry-standard software).

    You may additionally have experience of wider analysis concepts, such as design optimisation and non-linear analyses (contact, etc).

    You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and have a calm and considered approach to design & development in pressurised environments.
