  • Audience Development Manager

    We are currently looking for an Audience Development Manager to fill a new and exciting position within the Commercial Team.

    The Audience Development Manager will be responsible for the optimisation of the Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One™ Team marketing efforts in support of the Growth, Engagement and Monetisation objectives of the team.

    This individual will be an expert in developing insight on audiences, producing clear recommendations on how best to capitalise on opportunities and delivering robust measurement and reporting to demonstrate the impact of activation.

    The individual will have significant experience with fan first-sports rights holders and supporting the delivery of partnership assets.

    The position lives within the central Marketing team but will require strong relationships with colleagues across Partnerships and Communications.

    The Audience Development Manager should be commercially astute as well as creative. You will be required to think outside of the box by applying a contemporary marketing and customer experience mindset, with the most important aspect being to think fan-first. Specific skills required include:

    - Demonstrable experience and track record working in fast paced marketing role, delivering against challenging acquisition targets.

    - Experience in sports fan engagement / marketing is preferable but not essential.

    - A degree in a related field such as; Marketing, Business Management, Statistics/Economics etc.

    - Experience in earned, owned and paid media.

    - Strong knowledge/experience of applying customer insight, data analysis and legislation affecting use of personal data when applied to marketing.

    - Experience of working with Information Technology using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

    - A passion for new technology tools and usage of those tools within your own/company blogs and social media outreach.

    - Fluency in web analytics tools, social media marketing applications and leading social media monitoring platforms.

    - An agile approach, driving and embracing change and adapting strategies on the fly.

  • CAD/CAM Programmer

    We have a new opportunity to be part of the expansion of the Full-Size Machine Shop in the role of CAD/CAM Programmer.

    The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, hardworking, knowledgeable of machine shop / programming practices and standards, flexible, proactive and have a ‘can do’ attitude.

    Organisation, time management and efficiency are also key in this role. 

    The Successful candidate must have the following attributes:

    -Previous experience programming HyperMill 3 & 5 Axis ideally in a motorsport environment

    -Previous experience with Fanuc and Heidenhain control systems

    -Vericut experience and previous employment as a machinist would also be an advantage in this role

    -High level of accuracy and attention to detail

    -A methodical and thorough approach to your work

    -Good communication skills, both written and verbal, combined with the ability to work well with colleagues

    -Be self-motivated, enthusiastic and a dependable team player

    -Possess good IT skills

    -Have a positive attitude and be willing to help throughout the department

    -Work well under pressure to meet time critical deadlines

    Key responsibilities: 

    -Offline programming of CAD/CAM software (HyperMill)

    -Liaising with colleagues in the Machine Shop and other departments

    -Successfully meeting challenging and demanding deadlines

    -The ability to multitask whilst remaining organised and focused

    -Maintaining consistent high standards

    -Being proactively aware of Health and Safety requirements

    -Dealing with technical challenges as and when they arise and know when to ask if unsure

  • CNC Machinist-Nights

    We have a new opportunity to be part of the Model Machine Shop in the role of Night shift Programmer Setter Operator ( milling section) within our Aston Martin Performance Manufacturing (Formtech) Division.

    The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, hardworking, knowledgeable of machine shop practices and standards, flexible, proactive and have a ‘can do’ attitude.

    The Successful candidate must have the following attributes:

    - Previous experience of programming setting operating 3 and 5 axis CNC machines with Heidenhain / Fanuc control

    - Experience with Openmind-Hypermill would be an advantage

    - Experience and knowledge of a machine shop environment would be an advantage

    - High level of accuracy and attention to detail

    - A methodical and thorough approach to your work

    - Able to work with minimal supervision

    - Good communication skills, both written and verbal, combined with the ability to work well with colleagues

    - Be self-motivated, enthusiastic and a dependable team player

    - Possess good IT skills

    - Have a positive attitude and be willing to help throughout the department

    - Work well under pressure to meet time critical deadlines

    - A willingness to work extra hours as required

    The Key responsibilities of this role are:

    - Program, set and operate 3 and 5 Axis CNC machines using both Heidenhain and Fanuc controls to produce machined components

    - Liaising with colleagues in the Machine Shop and other departments

    - Ability to deal with technical challenges as they arise and know when to ask if unsure

    - Meeting challenging and demanding deadlines

    - Maintaining consistent high standards

    - Being proactively aware of Health and Safety requirements

  • Laminator - Weekend Night Shift

    We have a new opportunity to be part of the Laminating team in the role of Laminator - Weekend Night Shift.

    Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

    - The ability to read, understand and follow engineering drawings and lay up manuals

    - Previous experience of laminating high quality complex carbon composite components

    - Previous experience and knowledge of the chassis impact structure and associated structural components

    - Mould preparation and manufacture

    - The ability to vacuum bag components

    - Previous experience of the operation of autoclave ovens

    - Possess a good working knowledge of base materials

    A high level of attention to detail, positive ‘can-do’ attitude and a flexible ‘hands-on’ approach to workload and hours is essential.

    You must be able to work successfully as part of a team often working with minimal supervision, remain calm under pressure and communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues.

    Purpose: To generate ideas, schemes, designs and developments for the wind tunnel model to improve the performance and efficiency of our wind tunnel test programme.

    This varied role encompasses mechanical and R&D requirements of the wind tunnel model and full-Size Aero Testing Equipment.

    - To mechanically engineer designs and problem solve issues arising from Aero R&D projects.

    - To take ownership for the design and management of Aero R&D projects.

    - To assist in mentoring of the group’s other engineers.

    - To communicate effectively with other departments.

    - To propose and manage new projects and developments where possible and relevant.

    - To oversee other designers’ schemes from concept through to detail design drawings, tooling and assemblies as required.

    - Define component and assembly test specifications.

    - To provide follow up support on these projects during assembly and testing and development.

  • Senior Vehicle Dynamics Engineer

    An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Vehicle Dynamics Engineer within our Vehicle Performance Group (VPG).

    Reporting to the Head of Vehicle Performance, the role has broad responsibilities in the following areas:

    - Simulation studies for current and future car development

    - Factory based, Race, Test and DIL Simulator event support

    - Performance analysis

    - Model correlation

    - Analysis tool development

    - Mechanical rig testing (R&D, K&C, 7-Post)

    - Liaison with all groups within the technical function

    - Supporting junior engineers

    The following skills & experience are required:

    - Minimum of 8 years previous experience within high level motorsport

    - A proactive approach to problem solving

    - A strong understanding of mechanical systems

    - A strong understanding of data analysis techniques

    - Some understanding of physical tyre models

    - An awareness for the aerodynamic considerations in high level motorsport

    - Matlab and/or Python coding experience

    - Strong communication skills, ability to describe complex problems in simple terms

    Experience in the following is preferred but not essential:

    - Motorsport trackside experience

    - ATLAS, System Monitor

    - Modelling in Simulink / Simpack / Dymola

    - Hands-on experience of mechanical/automotive systems

    The ideal candidate will possess an excellent degree in a Mechanical or Automotive Engineering related discipline and exhibit strong problem solving skills.

    The ability to work effectively whether as part of a cross-functional team or with minimal supervision is a prerequisite.

    - Excellent degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related discipline (Masters/PhD preferred)
