#IAMSTORIES | Cindy, Belgium

Ahead of Formula One's return to the Belgian Grand Prix, Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One™ Team is shining a spotlight on one of the many fans attending the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps this weekend.

I AM STORIES - Cindy, Belgium

Cindy's passion for Formula One has led to her following the championship around the world, including travelling to Belgium this weekend. This is Cindy's story, in her own words.

I became a fan of Formula One when I was around 10 years old. My Godfather was a huge fan of Michael Schumacher, and one day he came over and watched the race at our house. I watched it with him, and, ever since then, I have considered myself a huge fan.

I've been fortunate enough to attend multiple races. I've been to Spa before, as well as the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim, and even winter testing in Barcelona. Once again, I'm heading to Belgium this weekend for the race.

2021 Belgian Grand Prix

The Belgian Grand Prix is a very special race. Spa-Francorchamps is an iconic track, and you can feel the history seeping through as you walk around. Raidillon in particular is incredibly magical to me. I may be biased, but my favourite Belgian Grands Prix were when Sebastian won the race [in 2011, 2013 and 2018].

I've been to Spa a few times, and the magic never wears off. It's by far my favourite track, which is probably why I keep coming back. To me, Spa-Francorchamps is iconic, historic, beautiful and powerful.

I've always sat in the grandstands facing the pitlane, because I love to see the action in garage. The grandstand facing La Source and Raidillon are also very good spots to watch the race from.

Sebastian is definitely my favourite driver. He has been since 2007. My favourite moment in Formula One would probably have to be Sebastian's title win in 2012. The Brazilian race that year was so crazy. All I can remember is being so nervous, all race long.

My favourite thing about Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One™ Team is that the team interacts a lot with the fans, no matter what's happening on track. I hope that eventually the team will be strong enough to challenge at the front of the field.

My favourite piece of Formula One memorabilia is the bodywork I bought from F1 Authentics. It's from the AMR21 and it's so precious to me.
