As the 2021 Formula One season moves on to Round 15 in Sochi, Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One™ Team is taking the opportunity to get to know its local fanbase in Russia.
Kirill is a relatively new fan of Formula One, having become an active follower of the championship during the global COVID-19 pandemic. This is his story, in his own words.
I only started following Formula One quite recently, although it has long been a part of my life. It all started when one of my family members visited the Malaysian Grand Prix and brought me back a Lewis Hamilton cap.
At that time, I knew little about Formula One itself. I watched the World Endurance Championship series but only started actively following Formula One during the pandemic. I really became a fan when Aston Martin announced its return to the Championship.
What I like most about Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One™ Team is its openness and cheerfulness. When you watch INSIDER, you immediately get an idea of each member of the team and everything they do.

My favourite moment in Formula One was Sebastian Vettel's 'worship' of his car in India in 2013, when he became a four-time World Champion. Sebastian showed that the driver should actively work with the team and not rely only on himself.
I've never been to a Grand Prix as I live on the other side of the country, in the far East, but I am proud that Formula One takes place in our country. It is an honour for us to host a World Championship. The whole country looks forward to the Grand Prix in Sochi.
The Sochi Autodrom has beautiful views of the Black Sea coast and the Olympic spirit within it. The entire track is laid through the Winter Olympic facilities, and this is symbolic of how important the Formula One championship is here.

If you are going to the Grand Prix in Sochi, it is better to arrive in advance: this way you will fully feel the Russian hospitality. It shouldn't just be a trip for three days, because there are a lot of interesting things in Sochi aside from the racing.
If time allows, I recommend visiting Krasnaya Polyana. It is best to get to it by commuter train. There is a ski resort, world-class restaurants, and beautiful views.
We are a very hospitable country with beautiful and unique natural sights. Seas and oceans, blue skies and, of course, the balance of mountains and endless expanses. This is a great place to visit, which a foreign tourist will never forget.
