AMF1 achieves ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard

ISO 14001 certification underlines our commitment to reducing our overall carbon footprint and supporting the environment where we live, work and race.

Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One™ Team (AMF1) has been certified to ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard in recognition of our sustained effort to manage our environmental impact, which includes monitoring greenhouse gas emissions, implementing pollution controls and adopting sustainable waste management practices.

It follows AMF1 being awarded Three-Star Environmental Accreditation by the FIA – the Association's highest level of environmental recognition.

The ISO 14001 certification recognises effective environmental management across the business and our implementation of sustainable and environmental systems and processes.

Our new Silverstone factory, the first new F1 factory in almost two decades, is designed with sustainability in mind and a focus on energy conservation – and its build includes the use of sustainable materials. Set to be F1's first 'smart factory', it will feature management systems to monitor energy usage.

Located deep in the Northamptonshire countryside, how team members get to and from our new home without increasing our carbon footprint has also been considered with the recent launch of a green travel strategy which includes an electric car scheme, and the strategy is exploring the introduction of car sharing and shuttle bus schemes.

We're also ramping up efforts to recycle wherever possible – be it at the factory, trackside, or even in the construction of our F1 cars with the use of recycled carbon fibre.
