Lance and Fernando shine the spotlight on the world's first Super Tourer before the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix.

Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One® Team drivers Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso unveiled the stunning new DB12 during the Cannes Film Festival ahead of the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix.

On Thursday night ahead of the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix, all eyes were on the new DB12 at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on the French Riviera. Celebrating Aston Martin's 110th anniversary, 110 esteemed guests from across the fields of entertainment, sport, the arts, and business – including Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas and Leonardo Di Caprio, Poppy Delevingne and Winnie Harlow – gathered to witness the arrival of a new icon.

AMF1 Team drivers Lance and Fernando personally unveiled the DB12 that continues the 75-year-old line of DB sportscars. The DB12 is the world's first Super Tourer and the first of Aston Martin's next-generation sportscars.

"It's one of the most stunning cars I've ever seen," said Lance, ahead of his seventh Monaco Grand Prix start. "It's an evolution of what Aston Martin's been doing for a long time, in terms of performance, and it's an incredibly beautiful, good-looking car, that I would definitely drive out on the road. And it's going to be a hell of a machine to drive."

"There is something special about Aston Martin," added two-time Monaco Grand Prix winner Fernando. "There are a lot of brands in the market but I think Aston Martin is a one-off, it's unique. There is the prestige of the brand, there are the unique models… I think when you drive an Aston Martin you are proud of what you have in your hands and Aston Martin has been able to do it from day one."

"The launch of DB12 marks not just the start of our next generation of sportscars, but also a key step forward in our vision to establish Aston Martin as the world's most desirable British ultra-luxury performance brand," said Aston Martin Executive Chairman Lawrence Stroll at the event in Cannes.

"Given the focus on celebrating our unique combination of ultra-luxury and high-performance, there could be no better place to unveil DB12 than here in Cannes on the eve of the amfAR Gala and during the Monaco Grand Prix week."

Powered by a fierce 4.0-litre V8 Twin-Turbo producing 680PS and 800Nm of torque, the DB12 goes from 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds in sheer luxury – with a top speed of 202mph.

Power is fed through an eight-speed automatic transmission with innovative and industry-leading technology giving the driver control, confidence, and safety. Inside, the driver-centric cockpit integrates technology with luxurious craftsmanship and distinctive detail.

Aston Martin will auction the very first DB12 customer car on Friday at the amfARGala Cannes in support of The Foundation for AIDS research.

Lance and Fernando prepare to race in this weekend's 2023 Monaco Grand Prix having scored 102 points from five Grands Prix.
