Moving day – a proud milestone on our journey

The team begins the move into its new state-of-the-art Silverstone home as we take another important step on our journey.

Aston Martin F1

An important milestone on our journey.

Less than 48 hours after scoring a podium finish at the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix, members of the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One® Team moved into our new headquarters – a world-class facility designed to bring out the best in world-class talent.

It's been a long time in the making.

The first all-new Formula One factory in almost 20 years, construction of our all-new campus began in September 2021, just a stone's throw away from the historic Silverstone Circuit, and it has been designed with performance, sustainability and wellbeing at its heart.

This is just the first phase of what is an empowering, inspiring and exciting 400,000 square feet (37,000m2) facility, which will include wellness enhancements for all staff including a new gymnasium, access to personal trainers and fitness programmes, and extensive walking and cycling trails within the campus grounds.

This is also the most sustainable campus F1 has ever seen. The fabric of the building has been designed to operate smarter, reducing energy usage wherever possible: it features increased insulation, an abundance of natural lighting and is served by air-sourced heat pumps. This contributes to a carbon footprint reduction of 278 tonnes per year.

More than 72,000 square metres of wild meadow and the planting of 1,500 trees have enhanced the surrounding natural environment in which our new home is located, while our people are encouraged to cycle, walk or use public transport on their commute with dedicated cycle spaces and a dedicated walkway from the nearby public bus stop.

Rainwater capture and extensive state-of-the-art monitoring systems mean we minimise water usage on site. Twenty per cent of the facility’s reduced energy needs will be met by solar panels on site. Even the forklifts will be electric.

There's more in the pipeline. Construction continues apace for phases two and three of the project, which include a new wind tunnel, simulator and exhibition space set for completion by the end of 2024.
