As part of a week-long activation exploring the technical excellence at the heart of our title partnership with Aramco and the science of F1, Aston Martin Performance Technologies Engineering Director Claudio Santoni visited Aramco's Detroit Research Centre.
Ahead of the United States Grand Prix, we visited Aramco Research Centre Detroit for a day of learning and collaboration.
Aimed at bringing together our shared passion for innovation, the visit was a chance to explore Aramco's research and development, learn more about their efficiency and sustainability solutions and meet with the visionary engineers who make Aramco's mission possible.
It was an opportunity for both teams to build a deeper understanding of Aramco's leadership in mobility solutions innovation, with the Detroit centre allowing Aramco to develop light-duty and heavy-duty fuels as part of wider work towards improving the efficiency of current and future engines.
"It was great to learn more about how Aramco is taking learnings from F1 and the track to further develop future low-carbon mobility solutions of the future," said Aston Martin Performance Technologies Engineering Director Claudio Santoni.
Aramco's Detroit Research Centre is home to advanced research facilities and we had the opportunity to learn more about the departments focused on computational modelling, propulsion technology and sustainability. Additionally, delving into Aramco's strategic transport analysis and competitive transportation solutions provided an understanding of how efficiency of current and further engines is being improved, therefore reducing overall environmental impact, cost, and complexity of engine systems.
This visit reinforces our shared commitment to advancing sustainable performance, with Aramco playing a key role in supplying Aston Martin Aramco with advanced sustainable fuels.
