Formula One has revealed a revised calendar for the remainder of the 2021 season, which confirms a total of 22 Grands Prix this year.

The latest update follows swiftly on the heels of the cancellation of this year's Japanese Grand Prix due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation in the country.

While Formula One will not replace the Japanese event, the championship is still set for a record-breaking 22-race season.

The current triple-header is unchanged, so this weekend’s Belgian Grand Prix will be followed by back-to-back races in the Netherlands and Italy. The Russian Grand Prix is then slated for September 26.

However, changes then follow. The Turkish Grand Prix has been moved back a week to October 10, before a short break precedes the United States Grand Prix on October 24.

The American race will be followed by the Mexican and Brazilian Grand Prix on November 7 and November 14 respectively.

There is one unconfirmed Grand Prix on the calendar, which will take place on November 21, and Formula One has previously confirmed it has a variety of options for the race.
