In pictures: Fernando's first AMF1 podium

Fierce determination. Unbridled emotion. Utter jubilation. This is the Bahrain Grand Prix in pictures from lights out to the moment Fernando and Lance crossed the line to secure a memorable podium and sixth place for the team at the 2023 Formula One season opener.

Revel in the team's Bahrain Grand Prix celebrations with some of our favourite images from the season opener, following hard-fought third- and sixth-place finishes for the team under the lights in Sakhir.

The late nights and the early starts. The grit and the determination. This is what it means to us.

Determination. Lance, just two weeks after sustaining injuries, returned to the cockpit for the first Grand Prix of the season.

The start. Fernando and Lance both started in the top 10, and moved up the order as the race progressed.

The team roared as Fernando and Lance made their moves on track.

Battling through. Fernando and Lance made plenty of moves on-track, including against Mercedes and Ferrari.

The team effort. Fernando celebrates with the team after crossing the finish line.

The green machine.

Shining bright under the lights. Lance's determined drive did not go unnoticed.

"This is a lovely car to drive." Fernando was full of praise for the racer that the AMF1 technical team have designed and built under the guidance of Technical Director Dan Fallows.

Box office. When Fernando is fighting for silverware, fireworks and entertainment are almost always guaranteed.

Courage personified. Lance gave it everything this weekend, just two weeks after a cycling accident which meant he missed pre-season testing.

This one means a lot.
