  • Chief Engineer - F1 Evolution

    We have a new opportunity to be part of our F1 Evolution team, which is the Aston Martin F1 TPC ("testing previous cars") Programme, in the role of Chief Engineer.

    Purpose:

    - To implement and deliver the trackside engineering and operations of the Driver Development Programme designed to attract and develop future racing talent to the Team.

    - Effectively manage the Team’s historic F1 cars and associated inventory.

    - To head and lead the running of the F1 cars / other AMR vehicles at non-F1 track events (TPC etc), demonstrations, and any other commercial activity request.

    - Create revenue through services (Driver Programme and Demos) or sale (Historic Cars and Parts) with the objective of the F1 Evolution programme achieving its financial targets.

    - To actively contribute to the Team’s primary objective of consistently being a top three team in the FIA Constructor’s Championship.

    Responsibilities:

    Driver Development

    - Define and implement the trackside engineering and operations of the Driver Development Programme for the Team in line with the agreed contractual terms.

    - Under the direction of the Senior Management, mainly Sporting Director, AMPT Engineering Director and Team Principal, align the operation of F1 Evolution to the agreed programme strategy and goals.

    - Define and implement the resources (people and equipment) required to create the capability to support track events or demos world-wide (by road, air and sea).

    - Define annual plan of circuits and/or other events (including simulator schedule).

    - Project manage events as determined by the plan, ensuring travel, transport, logistics and legal aspects are actioned (including health and safety requirements, from and during events).

    - Identify appropriate resources and technologies to support the development of drivers in all aspects besides the driving skills (physical, mental, commercial, engineering and media activities).

    - Attract and liaise with upcoming driver talent and their representatives.

    TPC programme and Heritage

    - Define and implement the Team’s TPC and Heritage programme considering contractual obligation to third parties in respect of historic or “TPC” cars.

    - Manage the warehousing, logistics, inventory, and relevant documentation of the Heritage and “TPC” cars and parts; ensuring it doesn’t affect the F1 operation and the relevant cost-cap restrictions.

    - Provide recommendations to Group CEO for allocation of chassis at the end of each racing season and the specification of the “TPC” car.

    - Determine the process for all inventory made available from the Race Team at the end of each season; identify requirements, service plan, purchase orders and secure necessary stock for TPC, Demo and Heritage programmes.

    - Identify what specific parts should be retained, re-order, sale, scrap or recycled for the Heritage inventory.

    - Identify and retail cars and parts of special interest for Heritage purposes.

    - Liaise with tyre supplier the order and delivery plan of academy tyres throughout the season.

    - Ensure programme is established with suitable protocols to ensure continuation of service irrespective of incapacitation if single team member.

    Powertrain

    - Liaise with PU supplier and gearbox supplier to secure parts and maintenance required for Heritage inventory.

    - Liaise with PU supplier and gearbox supplier to secure parts and support for all events.

    - Liaise with PU supplier the supply of fuel and lubricants.

    - Work with AMPT Engineering Director and relevant functions to put agreements in place with PU supplier and gearbox supplier to govern these requirements and services.

    Finance & Commercial

    - Set and manage agreed budget for Driver Development and Heritage programme, including headcount costs, other overheads, and event costs.

    - Coordinate & manage the cost of events, including travel, transport & logistics, team kit, driver kit, inventory, parts supply, spares and consumables.

    - Provide support to Commercial team for the costing of ad-hoc Demonstration events required by partners.

    - Work with the Chief Financial Officer and AMPT Engineering Director to manage the commercial contract aspects.

    People

    - Effectively manage the department resource, driving the best utilisation and efficiency of labour and capacity.

    - To progressively lead and develop the Team, communicating effectively and providing clear direction to ensure exacting standards are consistently achieved and maintained.

    - Deliver people management processes as determined by the Company including appraisal process, focusing on individual performance, improvement and development, aligned to organisational objectives.

    - Foster the teams We are Racing GREEN culture programme throughout the team.

    - Place appropriate actions to support the longer-term succession planning and future proofing of the department.

    Other

    - Support and manage special projects (non-F1) in addition to the TPC/Heritage programme. e.g. AMPT special vehicle builds and track testing.

    - Work proactively, responsibly, and professionally at all times and to respect and comply with the company’s reporting structure.

    - Maintain in-depth knowledge of FIA regulatory requirements.

    - Any other duties as reasonably requested aligned to your job role.

    Skills & Knowledge Required

    - Familiar and experienced in running a current era F1 race car.

    - F1 trackside engineering experience.

    - A clear understanding of the requirements and logistics needed in supporting a Driver Development Programme and non F1 events.

    - Posses a thorough understanding of Formula One operations and FIA regulations (including cost-cap).

    - Demonstrate a good working knowledge stock management and inventory control.=

    - Previous experience of project management or similar in Formula One environment / high level Motorsport environment.

    - Previous management experience.

    - Be available to travel as and when required to fulfil the requirements of the role in which employed.

    - To be self-motivated and to motivate others to thrive in challenging environment.

    - Is agile and adaptive, with the ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales.

  • Chief Mechanic / Number One Mechanic - F1 Evolution

    Purpose:

    - Enable the F1 Evolution Team members to work in the most efficient way possible, ensuring the race cars are delivered in a safe and reliable condition for all team events

    - To actively contribute to the Team’s primary objective of consistently being a top three team in the FIA Constructor’s Championship

    Responsibilities:

    - Supervise mechanics/technicians to ensure work meets standards and deadlines.

    - Organise car crew workload and manage appraisals, recovery/leave days via HR system.

    - Coordinate travel needs with F1 Evolution leader and Travel Team.

    - Create and distribute event timing schedules.

    - Update lifing info for cars and communicate with Engineering/Spares Coordinator.

    - Produce and send event shortage lists to Spares Coordinator.

    - Ensure cars are built to Race Engineer specifications and high standards.

    - Oversee garage procedures, set-up, and pack-down.

    - Ensure radio protocol is followed and manage brake wear documentation.

    - Communicate with factory, trackside, and supplier teams.

    - Maintain and update build specs, manuals, and check sheets.

    - Report issues to F1 Evolution leadership promptly.

    - Attend reliability and build meetings, manage damaged parts and pit equipment jobs.

    - Lead crew briefings and travel to all events.

  • Composite Design Engineer

    We are looking for Composite Design Engineers to be an effective part of a team of design engineers responsible for the scheme, design, testing and development stages of varied composite components within our Composite Design group.

    Key skills:

    - An awareness of composite manufacturing techniques using pre-preg technology including jigs, patterns and tooling

    The role would suit an experienced candidate with a comprehensive background in composite manufacture and assembly.

    We are looking for an experienced, senior leader to join IT as Head of Enterprise Platforms. Our technical landscape is mid-transformation and as a result, we're looking for a knowledgeable, influential team member to drive the digital transformation of our core business systems, optimising and integrating PLM and ERP

    In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the modernisation, development and implementation of ERP, PLM and the systems and technology, ensuring that they are aligned with our business goals and optimised for efficiency, effectiveness, and value. You will lead a team of ERP & PLM professionals and collaborate with other senior leaders to drive innovation and digital transformation throughout our organisation.

    This role would suit a seasoned leader influencing and advising stakeholders in their technology decisions and strategies; alongside tackling and transforming a fragmented legacy estate. In collaboration with along with rationalisation of 1000s of applications across a FTSE 100 company; with a remit to drive consistency and enterprise buy-in and adoption whilst continuing to shape platforms unique to each agency cluster that will enable business growth.

    What will you be doing?

    - Lead a team of ERP & PLM professionals, including functional and technical consultants, solution architects, scrum master, analysts and support personnel

    - Set performance goals, provide leadership and guidance, and ensure that the team is equipped with the necessary skills and resources to deliver work to the highest standards

    - Collaborate within IT and the wider Team to develop and execute ERP & PLM strategies which align with business goals and the technology strategy of the organisation

    - Build and maintain open business platforms that enable seamless integration with other systems, partners and consumers across the organisation

    - Support products managers in planning, coordinating, forecasting, tracking and managing resources across projects, business as usual and change requests, adhering to internal processes and systems

    - Ensure that ERP & PLM systems are optimised for efficiency, effectiveness, and value to the organisation

    - Own and manage stakeholder relationships from shop floor to C-Suite ensuring regular communication is maintained

    - Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts and ensure oversight of the latest developments in technology, products, services and licencing agreements

    - Ensure that systems are compliant with relevant regulations and security standards

    - Ensure monitoring and reporting of the performance of core systems and technology, is in place, using data to recommend improvements and optimisation

    - Develop and manage budgets for ERP/PLM related projects and activities

    Skills Required

    Purpose

    This role supports Aston Martin's F1 race team as a communications-focused engineer with IT responsibilities, primarily providing high-level IP and radio communications at all F1 races. The candidate must have experience with MRTC/ClearCom systems and strong problem-solving skills under pressure.

    Key Responsibilities

    - Setup and pack down all radio, intercom, and IT equipment for each race/test event, following evolving checklists.

    - Ensure daily functionality of intercoms and radios during race weekends.

    - Program and maintain communication hardware/software (radios, belt packs, intercom panels, etc.).

    - Provide top-tier support to race team members, from mechanics to senior leadership.

    - Coordinate with partners (FIA, FOM, Magneti Marelli) to maintain communication with the car.

    - Provide additional IT support (client, server, storage, network, A/V, security systems) when not focused on communications.

    Typical Routines

    - Set up/tear down intercom, IT equipment, and cabling for garage and trucks.

    - Monitor and react to MRTC/ClearCom system issues during events.

    - Manage communication hardware stock, freighting, and asset control.

    - Collaborate with MRTC for hardware upgrades and liaise with Magneti Marelli for car comms.

    Additional Tasks

    - Monitor system availability, maintain backups, handle IT administration, and control budgets.

    What we need from you

    - Strong experience of common desktop and server platforms including VMware, MS Windows Server, MS Windows, MS Office, Active Directory, MS Exchange, MS SQL, MS Terminal Services, Client & Server Hardware and SAN & Storage Hardware.

    - Awareness/qualified in ITIL methodologies

    - Knowledge/experience in Cloud based technologies such as MS Azure/Office 365/Linux Kubernetes technology

    - A good amount of experience in communications within the motorsport industry is preferred, however full training will be given to the right individual
