    We have a new opportunity to be part of the Pattern Shop team in the role of CNC Machinist – Day Shift working Mon-Fri.

    The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, hardworking, knowledgeable of Composite Machining practices and standards, flexible, proactive and have a 'can do' attitude. The Successful candidate should have the following attributes:

    - Previous extensive experience of setting and operating 5 axis CNC machines with a Siemens and/or Heidenhain control.

    - Experience of Pattern Shop processes and machining epoxy tooling block patterns, jigs, and moulds.

    - Experience of machining complex moulded carbon fibre components and inserts to tight tolerances – ideally class A Formula One Components inc. Chassis, Gearbox, Nose, Suspension etc.

    - An ability to work with minimal supervision and make informed decisions when support may not be available.

    - A desire to work with others to improve and create processes and drive improvement within the department.

    - Knowledge of Openmind Hypermill software would be an advantage.

    - Experience using Renishaw probes to set parts/MSP software would be an advantage.

    - High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

    - Able to work with minimal supervision.

    We have a new opportunity to be part of the Finance team in the role of Commercial Senior Finance Business Partner.

    Primary Responsibilities

    - To build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with senior executive leaders and budget holders.

    - Be the main point of contact and lead on all financial matters across our Commercial department, including but not limited to: Involvement in new sponsorship & licensing agreements; the delivery of rights provided to sponsors ; Paddock Club and on-track hospitality ; factory based & off-track events.

    - Influence decision-making through delivering strong analysis and insight on business opportunities; providing options and scenarios for decisions to be made.

    - Calculation of staff commission payments in line with policy and reconciling payments made through payroll.

This is an incredibly fast paced and varied design role that requires you to work on the construction of CAD concept surfaces, wind tunnel model and mechanical projects.

    Working from within our Aerodynamic Development group, you will be responsible for the following;

    - To own, develop and implement aspects of the current philosophy for the aerodynamic design

    - To maximise the performance gains of the aerodynamic design projects

    - Work proactively and constructively to implement, develop and maintain improved methods of working.

    Key Skills: - Responsible for owning design projects, conception through to delivery including parts creation, management, checking, fault prevention and resolution as well as any project documentation

    - Ensuring timing and part availability for WT testing liaising with relevant departments

    Graduate Aero Performance Engineer We are looking for agile problem solvers who can expedite the investigation and comparison of data gathered at the track, in our simulator, within CFD and in the wind tunnel.

    As a member of Aero Performance you will be contributing to the aerodynamic analysis and optimisation of our current and future F1 cars. You will be enhancing the ways in which we visualise and interact with our data to enable robust and profound observations.

    The successful applicant will be involved in car set-up optimisation, track data analysis and correlation, all within our Performance Engineering division. The job requires insightful analytics and thus data science and/or programming experience is desirable.

    We have an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Aerodynamicist working in the Development group of the Aerodynamics department.

    The successful applicant for this role will have recently graduated with a top-class degree/postgraduate qualification in an Aeronautical/Aerodynamics discipline.

    Within this role you will be responsible for helping to define, develop and implement the current philosophy for the aerodynamics of the Team’s race cars. Your primary responsibility will be working both with CFD and practical aerodynamic testing, taking ideas through from concept generation to execution in the Wind Tunnel including the subsequent performance analysis and report generation.

    The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of aerodynamics, a keen attention to detail, be proactive, enthusiastic and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    As part of this exciting journey we are now introducing F1 Evolution. This is a new initiative aimed at training and developing talented race drivers, engineers and support staff to compete at the very highest level in the world of Formula One as part of the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One® Team.

    We are looking for an IT Trackside Engineer to provide a high level of IT support & delivery for the new F1 Evolution test programme in Aston Martin F1. This role will be varied and include some travel to support the team for various events throughout the world. When not assisting in this programme this individual will be embedded in the existing IT Trackside team assisting them with support in various other F1 IT Trackside areas including trackside / Mission control (factory) / simulator (factory) covering all aspects of the IT infrastructure. To escalate to the appropriate parties when needed. To assist with factory IT projects where appropriate and cover factory IT support on occasions if required.

    The selected candidate will take pride in their role and be able to communicate well within the IT trackside team and F1 race and test team as a whole. The selected candidate will also be able to work well and stay calm in high-pressure situations. and will provide a high level of IT support providing operational availability to all core services delivered in each of the locations

    Principal Accountabilities:

    – Provide IT infrastructure support & delivery to include:

    – Client, server, storage, network, communication, audio/visual & security systems

    – Maintenance of documentation

    – Maintenance of system backups / restores

    – General IT operations, support & delivery duties

    – Provide Radio / Intercom support for the test team (training will be provided)

    – Assist with any other ad hoc engineer requests from the test team management

    – Liaison with Test Team Manager for all team duties including setup and pack down

    – Provide high level of IT support to key stakeholders at track and in the factory

    – Work closely as a team in support of incident and problem management processes

    – Contribution to new and on-going systems related projects both at track and in the factory

    – Maintenance of project and change management documentation

    – Monitoring of systems availability to ensure systems are always up and operational

    – Asset control and auditing administration

    – General IT administration including budget recommendations and control

    Typical Routines:

    – Travel out to events and setting up IT Infrastructure at F1 test and possible race events and then assisting with pack up at the end of events on a rotational rota basis

    – Providing daily IT support during events once everything is setup and operational

    – Logging, monitoring, prioritising requests, project tasks, incidents, escalate (when required) to either third party vendors or Head of IT Trackside

    – Maintaining and supporting change management following ITIL processes

    – Provide factory mission control IT support on a rotational rota basis

    – Delivery of new or improved IT system solutions both in the factory and at track when required

    – Installation, configuration and administration of operating systems and applications

    – Implementation, configuration, and administration of hardware platforms

    – Liaising with key suppliers and partners

    – Maintaining operations & administration processes

    – Regular stock control, asset and software assessment

    – Attendance and active participation in IT department meetings

    – Organisational activities such as team / travel / meetings ensuring effective communication and close working between trackside and factory staff

    – Project delivery within budget and ensuring quality and end user satisfaction is adhered too

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

    – Minimum of 3 years' experience of common desktop and server platforms including VMware; MS Windows Server; MS Windows; MS Office; Active Directory; MS Exchange; MS SQL; MS Terminal Services; Client & Server hardware; SAN & Storage hardware.

    – A strong emphasis on Networking/Firewalls; Security; Audio/Visual & Comms (Cisco/Juniper/Barracuda etc.)

    Desirable Skills / Experience:

    – Working within the Motorsport industry within IT

    This role would suit a candidate early in their manufacturing career, with previous experience of either CNC machining and/or CNC programming and having a good understanding of manufacturing processes. Openmind Hypermill experience would be advantageous, however any demonstrable CAM software knowledge would be considered. Training and guidance will be provided as part of the role.

    We have a new opportunity to be part of the Electronics team in the role of Junior Electronics Systems Engineer.

    We are now recruiting for an electronics systems engineer to join our electronics team. This is a very varied role with involvement with multiple different projects and departments across the company. On one day you could be testing new instrumentation to be fitted at the next race, and the next supporting the integration of a new ECU in the driver simulator. The role is suited to someone who can learn new concepts and skills quickly, has an in depth understanding of electronic systems in motorsport and can quickly identify issues in a system and deliver solutions. The role is based at the factory in Silverstone but may involve some attendance at track tests to support the electronic systems.

    Responsibilities

    - Development of electronic systems for on car use, HIL simulator, DIL simulator, rigs and test facilities.

    - Ownership of processes and procedures related to electronic systems.

    - The configuration, calibration and implementation of instrumentation and logging systems. on test rigs, R&D tests, sign off tests, car systems, and simulators.

    - Configuration of ECUs, data loggers, and instrumentation for testing and racing.

    - Development of software/tools for the configuration, calibration, data monitoring/analysis and performance optimisation of the electronic control and data systems.

    - Provide factory, and possibly track, support for race and test events for the operation of the electronic systems when necessary.

    Purpose

    The purpose of the role is to free-up capacity within the existing Legal team so as to allow them to focus on core legal activities of the F1 team and broader group. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to support each member of the existing Legal team, including the Group General Counsel with core legal activities as they arise.     We are currently recruiting for a Product & Creative Design Engineer, Reporting to the Head of Creative & Product Design, this exciting and varied role will support in designing environments and equipment that seek to maintain and improve both the Race Team operations at trackside, as well as supporting in maintaining and developing car and environment livery design application from both a technical and aesthetic standpoint.

    The successful candidate will have the ability to see a project through from conception to completion, including hands on construction, and they will also have the ability to listen to feedback from the team and understand and balance both the needs of the user and budget restraints.

    Within this role, generating high-quality visuals and artwork is essential for various interdepartmental use and applying an outward vision, observing trends in the sport whilst also taking inspiration from other relevant sources.

    We have a new opportunity to be part of the Vehicle Performance Team team in the role of SIMULATOR TEST ENGINEER.

    Suited to someone with experience in high level motorsport and with an interest to be on the front-line of Aston Martin’s current and future car development using a state of the art Driver In the Loop Simulator (DILSim).

    Reporting to the Head of Vehicle Performance, the role is centred around the management of DILSim sessions and analysis of test items for the purpose of car development, pre-event preparation and driver training. ‍

    The position will involve close cooperation with Race Engineering, Performance Simulation, Performance Software, Aerodynamic and Tyre Performance groups.

    It’s the role of the Simulator Test Engineer to: - Create and execute efficient simulator run programs.

    - Coordinate the driver(s) activities.

    - Schedule test items according to priority and Race event calendar.

    Prepare the car setups/configurations and liaise with the relevant technical groups to ensure testing requirements are met.

    - Report the findings post session to the technical group in a clear, time relevant manner.

    - Contribute to the DILSim program between sessions with analysis tool development and productivity improvements.

    A successful candidate will possess the following skills, qualifications & experience: - Trackside race/performance engineering, including driver interaction.

    - An excellent degree in Engineering, Physics or Data Science related discipline.

    - Ability to create efficient session run plans, focusing on key deliverables.

    - Ability to understand and describe mechanical systems.

    - Strong problem solving, mathematical and analytical skills.

    - Capacity to report complex technical information concisely to tight deadlines.

    - Experience of creating and using data analysis tools with an awareness of statistical relevance.

    We are currently recruiting in our Trim shop for a Trimmer Fitter - Weekend day Shift

    Purpose

    - To build high-quality products to a consistently high standard

    - To actively contribute to the Team’s primary objective of consistently being a top-three team in the FIA Constructor’s Championship

    Primary Responsibilities

    - To trim, assemble, bond and repair components as required

    - To accurately use a variety of measuring equipment, hand and air tools as required always ensuring attention to detail.

    -To appropriately maintain equipment as required including but not limited to changing blast media, changing filters in extraction, oiling tools and machinery.

    - To complete and update the online shop order system.

    - To inform the appropriate manager/team leader of the progress of the jobs, any issues and when stock levels of consumables/tools are below a certain level.

    An exciting opportunity exists for a Vehicle Dynamics Engineer within our Vehicle Performance Group (VPG).

    Reporting to the Head of Vehicle Performance, the role has broad responsibilities in the following areas:

    - Simulation studies for current and future car development

    - Performance analysis

    - Model correlation

    - Analysis tool development

    - Mechanical rig testing (R&D, K&C, 7-Post)

    - Conducting Driver In the Loop (DILSim) test programs

    - Liaison with neighbouring departments

    The following skills & experience are required:

    - Experience within in the automotive/motorsport sector

    - A proactive approach to problem solving

    - An understanding of mechanical systems

    - An understanding of data analysis techniques

    - An awareness of aerodynamic considerations for vehicle modelling

    - Matlab and/or Python coding experience

    - Good communication skills, able to describe problems in simple terms Experience in the following is preferred but not essential:

    - Motorsport trackside experience

    - Data analysis software

    - Mechanical modelling in Simulink / Dymola

    - Hands-on experience of mechanical/automotive systems

    The ideal candidate will possess an excellent degree in an Engineering related discipline and exhibit strong problem solving skills.
