    We have a new opportunity to be part of the IT Team in the role of Azure Integration Developer

    PURPOSE

    – To design and develop integrations using Azure Integration Services to deliver application to application integration to optimise business processes, deliver efficiencies and deliver new ways of working across our systems

    – Design and build digital products using an API First approach to enable the business to access critical data to support business innovation leading to improved car performance

    – Take an active role in developing and promoting integration best practices, standards, patterns and deliver a highly performant integration service to the business

    – To actively contribute to the Team's primary objective of consistently being a top three team in the FIA Constructor's Championship

    Primary Responsibilities

    – Write technical design documentation for integrations and keep this up to date

    – Work with the business and architecture to design and develop the right integration solution

    – Follow TDD practices

    – Support the development of standards, best practises and ways of working

    – Develop integrations using the Azure Integration Services stack

    – Work with the business to create an API first approach to support API development and consumption

    – Provide operational support for integrations and continuously enhance support processes, problem management and resolution

    – Develop an ecosystem of reusable integration building blocks / components i.e. Logging, Store and Forward etc., to drive consistency, speed up development and improve reliability

    – Develop technical and business monitoring dashboards and alerting

    – To chair, attend and proactively participate in meetings as required

    – Maintain an Integration Catalogue across the enterprise

    – To work proactively, responsibly and professionally at all times and to respect and comply with the company's reporting structure

    – To maintain and develop skill levels to industry standard and maintain current and thorough working knowledge of integration patterns and the Azure integration stack

    – Mentoring and coaching other members of the team to maximise team efficiency and quality, ensuring alignment to roadmaps and enterprise architecture standards

    Skills & Knowledge Required

    – Experience of Gregor Hohpe enterprise integration patterns

    – Possess an excellent working knowledge of Azure Integration Services

    – (API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, Azure Functions, Azure KeyVault etc.)

    – Possess an excellent working knowledge of designing, developing and testing integrations and APIs in Azure

    – Experienced in CI/CD automated builds with Azure DevOps

    – Understanding of Agile delivery processes

    – Experience of API tools such as Postman etc.

    – Experience of designing APIs using Swagger

    – Experience of GraphQL would be beneficial

    The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, hardworking, knowledgeable of Machine Shop practices and standards, flexible, proactive and have a 'can do' attitude.

    We have an exciting opportunity in our Pattern Shop for a CNC Programmer/Composite Machining (Late Shift)

    The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, hardworking, knowledgeable of Pattern Shop and Composite Machining practices and standards, flexible, proactive and have a 'can do' attitude.

    The Successful candidate must have the following attributes:

    – Previous experience programming using Openmind - HyperMill 5 Axis. Ideally in a Pattern Shop/Composite Machining environment.

    – Experience of Pattern Shop processes and programming/machining epoxy tooling block patterns, jigs, and moulds.

    – Previous knowledge and experience of programming machined Class A moulded composite components (inc Chassis/Gearbox/Wings/Nose) is highly desirable – extensive knowledge could offset Hypermill experience if other significant CAM experience is demonstratable.

    – Knowledge of Heidenhain/Siemens machine control would be an advantage.

    – Experience with Vericut and MSP setting software would be an advantage but not essential.

    – Experience of Openmind - Hypermill automation, macro and database creation and maintenance is desirable.

    – A willingness to work extra hours as and when required.

    – Offline programming using Openmind Hypermill to produce patterns, moulds, jigs and Rohacell components within a busy Formula One Pattern Shop.

    – Offline programming a wide variety of both moulded composite components and pre cured carbon fibre inserts.

    – Ensuring the department is at the cutting edge of CNC machining capability, including fixturing, tooling and software utilisation.

    – Assisting in the development of department processes and integration of new machines and equipment.

    – Communicating with colleagues within the Pattern Shop and other departments.

    We are now recruiting for an electronics systems engineer to join our electronics team. This is a very varied role with involvement with multiple different projects and departments across the company. On one day you could be testing new instrumentation to be fitted at the next race, and the next supporting the integration of a new ECU in the driver simulator. The role is suited to someone who can learn new concepts and skills quickly, has an in depth understanding of electronic systems in motorsport and can quickly identify issues in a system and deliver solutions. The role is based at the factory in Silverstone but may involve some attendance at track tests to support the electronic systems.

    Responsibilities

    – Development of electronic systems for on car use, HIL simulator, DIL simulator, rigs and test facilities.

    – Ownership of processes and procedures related to electronic systems.

    – The configuration, calibration and implementation of instrumentation and logging systems. on test rigs, R&D tests, sign off tests, car systems, and simulators.

    – Configuration of ECUs, data loggers, and instrumentation for testing and racing.

    – Development of software/tools for the configuration, calibration, data monitoring/analysis and performance optimisation of the electronic control and data systems.

    – Provide factory, and possibly track, support for race and test events for the operation of the electronic systems when necessary.

    – Fault identification and diagnosis of sensors, wiring harnesses, and electronic control units.

    – Develop the electronic systems requirements for various projects across the business, working with the project owners to meet the requirements of those systems.

    – Set up and decoding of CAN communications

    – Debug issues with embedded software in Simulink and C.

    – Analysis of telemetry data to determine system health and diagnosis of issues.

    – Development of on-board diagnostic software to identify and highlight issues on the F1 car.

    Requirements

    – Good degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Electronics, mechanical, automotive, mechatronics).

    – Strong mathematical/analytical skills and electronic theory knowledge.

    – Good knowledge of instrumentation, sensors, data loggers etc

    – Knowledge of Mathworks tools such as matlab and simulink

    – Knowledge of the configuration and operation of high-speed data acquisition and analysis systems.

    – Understanding of automotive and motorsport communication systems (CAN, ARCNET, ethernet etc).

    – Use of CANBUS diagnostic tools such as PCAN, CANalyzer etc

    – Experience using McLaren Applied tools such as System Monitor and ATLAS.

    – Knowledge of software languages such as C, C#, .Net

    – Data driven approach to problem solving.

    – Flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a changing environment.

    – Ideally experience with F1 or top-level motorsport electronic systems.

    PURPOSE

    Our IT team is looking for a Graduate PLM Support Engineer with the passion and determination to make an impact on our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environments that drive performance through design and simulation across our business.     The Graduate PLM Support Engineer role sits within the PLM team, reporting to the PLM and HPC Support Team Leader. The PLM team is responsible for the support, implementation, integration, and automation of the organisation's PLM toolsets working closely with various areas across the organisation. You'll be responsible for the operational running of our Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and PLM systems. You will be the central point of contact for support of the CAD/PLM platform for the Design Office, Aerodynamics, Production and Non-F1 departments.

    PURPOSE

    – To carry out Quality Control activities to ensure the quality of Internally manufactured machined components and associated components.

    Who are we looking for?

    An experienced PLM Engineer is required to support the business with continuous improvement of our engineering and production processes, who is passionate about technology and wants to deliver real improvements to business users in smart and effective ways.

    The successful candidate will have a desire to develop their working knowledge of the Dassault Systemes toolset within AMF1 to accelerate requirements from concept through to delivery.

    The primary responsibility of the PLM Engineer will be to test, deploy, support, and maintain 3DEXPERIENCE functionality and technical documentation. This will include integrations and macros written in a variety of languages such as C#, VBA and VB.Net (TCL, MQL, HTML and Java/JavaScript are also desirable).     What you will be doing

    – Engaging with technical peers, business partners and third parties to address challenges and deliver optimal solutions

    – Running workshops and steering stakeholders to an efficient end to end solution

    – Working closely with a Scrum Master, ERP Product Owner, and Chief Architect to assist the development of business cases, including assisting the gathering of data and metrics

    – Developing native client native applications/macros using C#, VBA and VB.Net

    – Expanding the capability and functionality of 3DEXPERIENCE environments

    – Maximising value and efficiencies withing the PLM eco-system

    – Assist managing future upgrades and patches

    Skills and knowledge required

    – Proficient with 3DEXPERIENCE (ideally 2017x or above)

    What does an R&D role involve ?

    – R&D's function is to test, measure and investigate all aspects of the mechanical and structural systems of the Aston Martin Formula 1 car.

    – Our input is needed in hugely diverse areas of the car including chassis safety and crash testing, suspension behaviour, power unit systems and cooling, wings and structural bodywork as well as brakes and driver controls.

    – Working with design we will understand the demands and requirements of each critical part then design factory rigs and fixturing which allow us to test that part in as close to on-car conditions as possible.

    – By observing behaviour and measuring outcomes we can improve our knowledge, simulation techniques, component reliability and ultimately the performance of our racing car.

    – We keep run logs, observation notes, photos and video then analyse the data and produce relevant plots.

    – Key findings are then reported both verbally and through concise written communication

    We have a new opportunity to be part of the Vehicle Performance Team in the role of Simulator Test Engineer.

    Reporting to the Head of Vehicle Performance, the role is centred around the operation of Driver In the Loop Simulator (DILSim) sessions and the analysis of test items.

    Involvement in other areas of the Vehicle Performance Group may occasionally be required.

    The position will involve close cooperation with Race Engineering, Performance Simulation, Performance Software, Controls, Aerodynamic Performance and Tyre groups.

    It's the role of the Simulator Test Engineer to:

    – Schedule test items according to priority and event calendar.

    – Prepare setups/car configs and liaise with the relevant groups to ensure model functionality requirements are met.

    – Create and execute efficient run programs considering the elements of real-world testing.

    – Coordinate the driver(s) activities.

    – Report the findings post session to the technical group in a clear, time relevant manner.

    – Contribute to the DILSim program in between session with analysis tool development and productivity improvements.

    A successful candidate will possess the following skills, qualifications & experience:

    – Trackside race/performance engineering experience, including driver interaction.

    – An excellent degree in Engineering, Physics or Data Science related discipline.

    – Ability to create efficient session run plans, focusing on key deliverables.
