7 TikToks you will sacrifice sleep for from the Canadian GP

This weekend we scored our sixth podium of the season and a double points finish at Île Notre-Dame – but there was plenty more to the story. Here are some choice TikToks from Canada.

Salut, Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Podium and points-scoring performances from Fernando and Lance, spirited fans, and some sensational content too.

You, our fans, made us feel at home in Montréal, and your passionate fandom was on display throughout the week in true I / AM style. Fernando's podium only amped up the atmosphere, and thanks to these TikToks, we have ample evidence of that.

Here are some of our favourite TikToks from the 2023 Canadian Grand Prix.

1 | Fernando x Lance

Work it, Lance.

Lance took the time to sign some autographs and take selfies in the paddock but he didn't spot the camera of one adoring fan: Fernando, who turned paparazzo when he spotted the home hero enter our hospitality.

2 | "Best dressed and best lunch"

A TikTok tour of the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One® Team (AMF1 Team) garage and hospitality, courtesy of creator Marissa Roberto – who also helped us inspire the next generation at our Make A Mark event at the nearby McGill University.

Marissa picked up on some incredible details including Lance's sparkling one-off helmet design and also deemed us the best-dressed and best-fed team in the paddock. We can't argue with that.

3 | A delicious design

Here's a closer look at that helmet. Lance brought a stunning design to Circuit Gilles Villeneuve to celebrate his hometown, Montréal, and the helmet is being auctioned in aid of the Canadian Red Cross.

The design features QR codes highlighting Lance's favourite spots in the city, and this TikTok was filmed at one of them – Lester's Deli. Salivating stuff.

4 | Le Paddock

'Le Paddock' brought the Formula One festivities to downtown Montréal on race week, with an AMF1 Team car on display and some refreshing Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% drinks on offer.

@eliggarcia took us on a tour of the space, which looked magnificent.

5 | A corking catch

Sharing is caring, eh, Fernando?

Our podium finisher sprayed the champagne and then passed it down to his mechanics for a well-earned drink after the race.

6 | Shimmy

Fernando's got moves on and off the track. Here he is doing a little shimmy as he celebrates second place on Sunday.

Luckily, he avoided a penalty for excess weaving.

7 | Bark Jean-Drapeau

Unfortunate pun aside, this was one of the most heartwarming moments of the weekend.

As we lined up for a celebratory photo after the race, the circuit security's sniffer dog was invited to join in.

And they took the opportunity with aplomb.
