Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal, visited the AMR Technology Campus as we hosted Pathways into Manufacturing and Logistics, an event showcasing career opportunities and providing accessible pathways for veterans and their families.
Held in partnership with the Forces Employment Charity and in support of the team's application to the Armed Forces Covenant, the event highlighted the growing veterans community and acted as an employer‑led careers session designed to connect Forces-experienced talent with organisations that are actively recruiting.
The day consisted of two main panel sessions with networking either side, designed to support clients in understanding how their military skills translate directly into careers across manufacturing and logistics. Her Royal Highness joined the first panel session, providing a reflective summary and words of guidance and encouragement to the audience. She also met with the 16 invited employers, all of whom had active vacancies available.
Aston Martin Performance Technologies hosted a career stand as part of the event to show live and upcoming vacancies across AMPT, Aston Martin Aramco and the Evolution team. This enabled team members to engage directly with job‑ready candidates and strengthen relationships with industry peers and partners.
During the visit, HRH The Princess Royal spoke with employers, heard about the importance of veterans as a talent pool, toured the AMR Technology Campus and explored the technology and innovation that powers our team.
Debbie Wall, Aston Martin Aramco ESG Director, said:
"The Pathways into Manufacturing and Logistics event reflects our commitment to fostering talent and providing support to military veterans and their families as they transition into civilian careers by connecting employers with service leavers.
"The Formula One industry, much like service in the armed forces, demands teamwork, discipline, quick decision-making, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. It was great to see such enthusiasm and collaboration, and we are confident this initiative will see veterans successful transition into roles here at Aston Martin Aramco and the wider manufacturing and logistics sector."
Lorraine Cadle, Forces Employment Charity Director of Employment, said:
"We were honoured to join forces with the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team to host the Pathways into Manufacturing and Logistics event and to welcome The Princess Royal, Patron of the Forces Employment Charity, to the AMR Technology Campus.
"There is a strong synergy between the manufacturing and logistics sectors and the skills, experience and mindset developed through military service. Veterans and their families bring adaptability, resilience, teamwork and problem-solving skills that are highly valued by employers, and events like this are vital in connecting this community of experienced talent with organisations that recognise the value they can bring to their workforce."
