The ultimate fan experience with Fernando at 'Il Pitstop'
I / AM A FAN is all about celebrating your unique fandom, and ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix we've taken to the streets of Barcelona to bring fans closer to the sport. For a lucky group of I / AM members, that meant joining us for the ultimate fan experience with Fernando in the heart of the city.

Excitement is building ahead of Fernando's home race and we’re calling upon you, our fans, to help us turn Spain green. We're on a mission to deliver an atmosphere like no other at the Spanish Grand Prix this weekend and bring you closer to the sport – and we're taking to the streets of Barcelona to help make that happen and shine a spotlight on your unique fandom.
But we also want you to tell us about your relationship with the sport and how we can enhance it. I / AM is about bringing your thing and having a voice. It provides a platform for you to share your passion and shape your experience as a fan of the team.
Ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix, we launched a competition for I / AM members to win the chance to spend time with Fernando, AMF1 Team Ambassador Pedro de la Rosa, and more members of the team – and make their voice heard.
The unforgettable experience for this lucky group of I / AM members began at the AMF1 x Kimoa pop-up store in Barcelona, where they shared their experiences as a fan and had their say on what they want from the team and the sport.
Our Global Beer Partner Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% then provided the next stop for our I / AM competition winners as they got to experience IL PITSTOP. This custom-designed space in Port Vell, Barcelona, gives fans the opportunity to soak up the atmosphere and excitement of a race, reimagining the perfect pitstop.
AMF1 fans brought their energy to Port Vell – and plenty of merchandise for Fernando to sign – while Fernando turned up the atmosphere when he appeared at the event, taking time to speak to the crowd, capture selfies, and take part in a meet-and-greet and Q&A session with our I / AM competition winners, which was streamed live on the @AstonMartinF1 TikTok channel.
"It's amazing to see all the fans in Barcelona," said Fernando. "The passion in our fans is clear to see, and it's incredible to see them take to the streets to show their support in the build-up to the Spanish Grand Prix. You can feel the energy. This will be a special race.
"Together with AMF1, Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% has done something different, something extra, with Il PITSTOP to bring fans closer to the sport, and after seeing how loud and vocal the fans are here, I can't wait to see the grandstands turn green during my first home race with AMF1."
"It was an amazing experience, thank you to AMF1 to let the fans meet Fernando and see the car. I'm proud to be an I / AM member and an AMF1 fan. It was an amazing experience, as I said, we will always remember it," said AMF1 fan Nicolas.
Another fan, Javi, added: "This is fabulous. We were so nervous; we enjoyed it so much. We wanted to see Fernando at his home Grand Prix, and this was something fantastic for us. We're just speechless. We will turn the grandstands green on the weekend. When Fernando joined AMF1 last year, I signed up to be an I / AM member. They contacted me with the competition, I applied, and they invited me, and I invited my best friend along. It's encouraged us to support the team even more."
Ines, a student from Barcelona, added: "Everyone at AMF1 has done such a good job, so thank you so much. We got our photos, everything signed, and now we are enjoying some drinks and food at IL PITSTOP, having a fantastic time. And we got a lot of pictures and a lot of content for our social media!
"The Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% IL PITSTOP is really cool and together with AMF1 they're making this available to everyone. We're students in Barcelona, so this is definitely an opportunity that will not come again, so I am savouring this as much as I can."
The custom-designed space features a replica of the AMR23, a bespoke viewing gallery, team radio straight to the fans and an elevated, luxurious place to taste the premium non-alcoholic beer, Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0%.
IL PITSTOP is open to the public in Port Vell, Barcelona, from 1 June to 4 June from 12:00-20:00 CEST, before stopping in Budapest, Milan, Stockholm and Bratislava this year.
