For the fanáticos: How Aston Martin Aramco is bringing fans closer to the team and home hero Fernando Alonso in Barcelona

The Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix is more than a race weekend.

It is a celebration of one of Formula One's most enduring fanbases – a cultural and emotional moment for the generations of supporters who have followed Fernando Alonso's journey throughout his career.

As Fernando prepares to race in front of a passionate home crowd at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, we're bringing fans closer to the team through a series of special experiences across the city and at the track.

From an immersive pop-up in the heart of Barcelona to unforgettable moments inside Alonso Land, this week is dedicated to the fanáticos – some of Fernando and the team's most ardent supporters.

Here's everything you need to know and how you can get involved.

The experience

There are two places where fans can get closer to Fernando and the team this week.

In Plaça de Catalunya, the F1 Fan Village brings Formula One into the heart of Barcelona, giving fans the chance to experience race week from a different perspective.

From Tuesday 9 June, fans can step inside Fernando's driver room, get up close to a replica Aston Martin Aramco Formula One car, and leave a message of support for Fernando on our interactive fan wall at our pop-up.

And at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, fans can get involved with a tribute to Fernando taking shape across the weekend, celebrating his connection with the people who have supported him throughout his career.

The schedule

The week begins from midday on Tuesday 9 June at the Fan Village, which closes on Sunday.

The pop-up is open throughout, and at the first fan event on Tuesday, team members Pedro de la Rosa and Mari Boya joined fans for a special meet-and-greet. Fans can also look out for exclusive giveaways at the pop-up during the week.

At the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Friday, artist Adrià Bosch will begin work on a live mural behind the Main Grandstand. The artwork will celebrate Fernando's connection with his home fans and create a new landmark for supporters visiting the circuit.

And throughout the weekend at the track, the Alonso Land grandstand will come alive. With more than 10,000 fans united in Aston Martin Racing Green, Fernando's grandstand will once again become one of the most iconic sights of the Formula One season.
