For Alessandro, Formula One racing in Italy is a platform to showcase his country’s passion for motorsport. In his own words, Alessandro shares his Formula One story.
It’s an amazing feeling for our country to host two Grands Prix in 2021, it’s a real moment of pride for me as an Italian.
The whole of Italy is incredibly excited for the weekend as we had been waiting for so long to have Imola return to the calendar before 2020. It might not be as obvious as it usually is, when the circuits are packed with Italian fans, but there’s still huge passion and we love demonstrating our love of Formula One.
For me, it’s the passion and the adrenaline building before the race and then there’s the incredible speeds of the cars when the Grand Prix starts. I love how emotive Formula One is, as well as the technical elements lying under the skin of the cars.

My first Grand Prix in person was the 2017 Italian Grand Prix at Monza and it was an unforgettable experience. Seeing the drivers work the car so hard through the Ascari chicane was so impressive.
I was also part of the Tifosi under the podium at the end of the race, celebrating the success of Sebastian (who finished third).
A year later, I was able to meet Sebastian in Milan at an event and I was blown away, I couldn’t help but cry at meeting my hero! My next dream is to visit the Monaco Grand Prix to experience a street circuit for the first time.
My support for Sebastian comes from my earliest memory of Formula One, watching him win the 2010 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix to become World Champion after a four-way battle for the title.
Sebastian is my favourite driver and I’ve long been a fan of Aston Martin too. I loved the history of the company and the amazing road cars, so it’s no surprise that this team means so much to me.

The combination of Aston Martin and Team Silverstone, along with the driver line-up, joining Formula One in 2021 is a huge moment for the sport.
I’ve always loved this team for many reasons. The Team Silverstone story is inspirational, having punched above its weight for so long. I also really love the team’s admin on social media, who does a great job of bringing the story of the team to us, the fans.
This team deserves the chance to succeed and to one day fight at the front of the field and reward all those that have been a part of the team for so long, working so hard to get Aston Martin on the grid.
The passion of this team is a huge inspiration for me and I’m incredibly excited about the future.
