Meet the Creator Collective: Nyah India is making Formula One fashionable

Passionate about fashion, filmmaking and Formula One, Nyah India has joined the team for season two of the TikTok Creator Collective.

Watching one of Nyah's videos feels like stepping into her scrapbook: bright colour, hand-drawn graphics, playful typography. Her videos are instantly recognisable and reflect exactly who she is.

Nyah's distinctive style and engaging editing has made her one of the new faces of the Creator Collective, where she'll be bringing her creative lens to Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team.

We caught up with Nyah to discuss style and self expression and explore why passion should never have to be dialled down.

Describe your content in three words.

"Colourful, inspirational and authentic."

Your application stood out for those reasons. What do you love about the video-making process?

"I like doing lots of styles of video – whether it's my own content, fan edits or trailers – because it means there's different editing for each one, which lets me flex different creative muscles.

"I studied film and TV production, and I've definitely grown more on the editing side. I love making things that feel like me because my friends will say, 'We know it's your video because the style is so consistent.'

"I'm really proud of my application. It's very much my style and it's creative, while also being different to my normal outfit videos and very personal and authentic to me."

When did your love of fashion begin?

"My interest in fashion comes from my mum. She's always been very stylish. For me, fashion makes me feel confident."

How do you combine your love of fashion and Formula One?

"Fashion has always been intertwined with F1. It's always been glamorous. You get to see fashion in different locations around the world, and you also see people taking inspiration from F1 and wearing moto-style fashion.

"There are a lot of different fashion brands joining F1 too, like BOSS. It's cool to see how they're styling drivers. I love seeing what people wear on a Thursday when they arrive in the paddock. You get to see a bit of their personality through fashion, and that gives me inspiration too."

What else do you get inspired by?

"Seeing my friends achieve their dreams is one of my favourite things. Seeing them getting to pursue their passions and succeed, especially if they've told you it's what they want to do. That inspires me to continue on the path that I'm on."

Describe your current era.

"My current era is expressive. I'm just showing my passions and focusing on putting out content that I'm enjoying making."

If your For You Page was turned into an exhibition, what would people learn about you?

"I am a big Marvel fan. Spider-Man's my favourite, but I've got to mention Groot too. There's a lot of fan edits on my For You Page, and I like to read and watch BookTok too.

"I'm very much a trinkets person and I'm very maximalist. My room is full of F1 Lego and lots of decorative things. If you walked into my room or an exhibition of my For You Page, you'd be able to see all the things I'm passionate about."

What excites you most about culture right now?

"There's such a rise of women doing content and being within motorsports spaces. When I'm looking for races to watch, I always check to see when F1 ACADEMY is on because it's great to see this change that's happening.

"And getting to see my fellow content creator friends who are women achieving their goals is really promising. I'm seeing that happening more and more. It's great to see things going in that direction."

I love when people are excited about something. You can hear it in their voice and see it on their face.

What's something you want to see more of?

"I want to see people being less nonchalant – talking about their passions and being excited. I love when people are excited about something. You can hear it in their voice and see it on their face. I love it.

"I feel like some people hide that a bit and I'm like, 'No, tell me everything. Be excited about your passions.'

"Being passionate about F1 has got me here and led to me meeting so many people. When I first posted on TikTok, I was actually quite nervous because it's a male-dominated space and I was new to the sport. But when I did hit post, everyone was lovely and welcoming.

"I've met so many people through TikTok, so I'm glad I was able to speak about my passions and not feel afraid to do it. Best decision I've made."

What is your ultimate ambition?

"I want to do a bunch of different things because I love flexing different creative muscles. I like making my own content because I have a personal style, and I like doing fan edits and creating trailers for things.

"I just want to be happy doing it – that's the main goal. That's always what I'm striving for. It's really important that you're enjoying what you're doing."

My favourite thing about F1 is the people and the fans. I've met so many amazing people. That's what makes me continue to love the sport.

What should people expect from you and Aston Martin Aramco this year?

"I've always loved the Aston Martin Racing Green, so I'm going to easily fit that into my outfits because I dress like the rainbow.

"I'd like to do more cool fashion content. That's my niche area. I like getting dressed up because it makes me feel confident, but I'd also like to hear from other people and find out how they feel confident too. My favourite thing about F1 is the people and the fans. I've met so many amazing people. That's what makes me continue to love the sport.

"When people look back at the end of this season, I hope that what they can take from me is confidence. I want people to feel confident in the things they wear and the things they do and the things they're passionate about."
