Together with our Principal Partner, Maaden, our exclusive six-part series deep-dives into the aspirations, motivations and challenges of key members of our team and explores how those factors allow them to unearth their greatness.
In the penultimate episode, Head of F1 Academy and Driver Ambassador Jessica Hawkins and F1 Academy driver Tina Hausmann explore what it takes to succeed and what's possible in the future.
Watch the interview below, and keep scrolling for five key learnings from Jessica and Tina.
Episode five: Jessica and Tina
Alongside Maaden, Jessica Hawkins and Tina Hausmann discuss passion, progress and proving that pace has no gender.

1 | Passion is key
Jessica Hawkins: "The sport is the first thing I think about when I wake up. My motorsport journey isn't over until I lose that love for it, and at the moment, there's no sign of any love lost for it. I still love it so much."
Tina Hausmann: "To be good at something, you need to have a big passion for it. I started when I was seven. I didn't know anything about motorsport. My family had nothing to do with motorsport. But I saw a go-kart for the very first time, and I just ran to it. My parents couldn't get me out for two hours.
"I knew from then on that's what I wanted to do. Now, I've realised I was the only girl, but in the moment, I didn't think about it. When I have my helmet on, I'm a racing driver and nothing else matters to me."
There are no limits to your dreams. As long as you work very hard every day, you can achieve it.
2 | Never settle
TH: "For me, greatness is being the best version of yourself and putting as much work as I can into it. I never want to look back and think, 'Oh, I could have done better' or 'I didn't try enough.'"
JH: "It's being the best version of yourself. Always pushing yourself, never being settled.
"To me, it's always good to have goals, and as soon as you achieve one goal, you have to make a new goal. Never being settled, and creating an environment where you can be the best version of yourself."
3 | Anything is possible
TH: "My mindset has always been, as long as you put a lot of effort and focus into it and you really want it, you can achieve it. There are no limits to your dreams. As long as you work very hard every day, very structured with a lot of discipline, you can achieve it."
A lot of doors are opening for females in the sport. The girls are ready to take the opportunities and grow.
4 | We've come a long way, but there's still far to go
TH: "When I started karting, I never thought about gender. For me, I was a driver. Not a female driver, not a male driver. Just a driver. When I put my helmet on, nobody could tell if I was a girl or a boy. It's not about gender; it's about who is the fastest."
JH: "I remember being so excited about having this young, enthusiastic driver that we could channel all of our knowledge into. Nothing like this has ever happened before. It wouldn't have happened with drivers of my generation. It really is showing how far we've come within the sport."

JH: "I know what's possible, and I truly believe that a female can compete at the pinnacle of motorsport. And it's about ensuring it's not just one female who makes it to F1, it's a string of females making it to F1. I want to normalise it.
"It starts by giving visibility to the younger generation racing in F1 ACADEMY, because if I think back all those years ago, I started in karting because I saw a kart track in the distance. I didn't start because I turned on F1, because I would have seen 20 men racing around. Eight-year-old Jessica probably wouldn't have even realised that she was allowed to race in F1."
TH: "Motorsport has come so far and had huge developments, especially in the last few years. In the past, it hasn't been like that for females. Now, a lot of doors are opening for females in the sport. The girls are ready to take the opportunities and to grow as much as they can."
5 | Teamwork creates greatness
TH: "In a racing team, it's not just the driver. There are the mechanics, the engineers, the team, team principal, and everybody back home working in the factory. It needs teamwork to achieve greatness."
