GRAND PRIX REACTION
We head into the summer shutdown on a positive note after securing a double points finish at the Hungarian Grand Prix, with Fernando classifying in fifth and Lance in seventh.
The final race weekend before Formula One's annual mid-season hiatus, the Hungaroring played host to round 14 of the 2025 World Championship. Read on for full coverage of the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend and for the thoughts and reaction of our team.
Fernando and Lance lined up in P5 and P6 respectively at lights out, with both keeping things clean on the run down to a notoriously tight first corner.
After the opening stages, Fernando ran in fifth whilst Lance was in eighth. Both settled into their rhythm as the team sought to execute a one-stop strategy with both cars.
Utilising a one- or two-stop strategy was the debate being held up and down the pitlane as teams balanced tyre wear against track position at a circuit that's usually hard to overtake at.
Fernando and Lance's strong tyre management provided the opportunity to commit to the one-stop option, as both traded their Mediums for Hards midway through the race.
Fernando maintained fifth through to the end of the Grand Prix, whilst Lance rose to seventh before the chequered flag, securing a healthy chunk of points for the team as the curtain fell on act one of the 2025 season.
Earlier in the day, Aston Martin Aramco Young Driver Jak Crawford took third place in the F2 Feature Race, whilst Aston Martin Aramco Driver Academy member Mari Boya also made the podium in the F3 Feature Race as he crossed the line in second following a composed drive in damp conditions.
THE LATEST FROM THE TRACK
Hitting the track at the Hungaroring
Not the beginning of the end, but most certainly the end of the beginning. F1's final race before the summer shutdown takes us to the banks of the Danube for the Hungarian Grand Prix. The Hungaroring, on the outskirts of Budapest, is a tight, twisty, technical circuit, reminiscent of a super-sized kart track. A flying lap of the track, with its relentless cavalcade of corners, is a breathless experience, and it is a circuit that has staged many memorable races over the years, including Fernando Alonso's maiden Grand Prix victory in 2003.
Last week in Belgium was a trying experience, with our first non-scoring race since Monaco. It was also a frustrating weekend for Jak Crawford in F2 and Mari Boya in F3. The beauty of this packed European middle-sector of the season, however, is that we don't have to dwell on it before returning to the track again.

It's a great, technical circuit. If you mess one corner up, that makes the next series of corners quite difficult.
